Day 3: All for one and one for all
The day started with a morning jog (was a terrifying prospect for most of us, considering the timing of 7am, followed by the much awaited Team Challenge Pyramid!!)
The first impression was “Wow, this thing is taller than the Petronas Towers, how are we supposed to climb this??”. But once we started the exciting climb, the exhilarating feeling, being balanced on a piece of rope or log with your teammates for support on either side, completely overshadowed any fear of heights that we had.

The “Ding Dong” sound on top was the sweetest thing in the world for all the teams after the thrilling climb, which showed us different facets of our personalities. There was a lot of shouting, some crying and even crazy laughter to make for a great mix in most teams!!!! The 200m Flying Fox is the best!! No words to describe it!!!!

After the exhausting day, the bonding with each other was at its highest!!! Rarely do you get to see much camaraderie amongst people who had been total strangers just 3 days ago!!

The afternoon highlighted the importance of safety in program activities, and we had loads of fun climbing the Low Wall (the wall seemed too darn high to be called a “Low Wall”!!). Some of us were pulled up by hands & legs, and some even by their belts, waist bands and shoelaces. The important thing is that we managed to complete it as a team!!:-) The trust fall was fun as well…Some people were getting over the fear of asking” Team, can I trust you?” and expecting replies like “Maybe”, “Cannot”..

Loads and loads of fun activities, and quite a bit of subtle learning as well. We started with some recreational activities at Bintan Lagoon Resort. Driving the Action ATV (ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES) was an out of the world experience, with sand spraying all over you, blinding you (some of us had our eyes shut anyways!!) while still taking your adrenaline levels up to intoxicating heights. Some of us tried driving up even trees, and learned that trees do not like the idea very much!!!!

The 10+ minutes inside the WaterBall in the swimming pool was an out of body experience, the triumphant feeling once you balance the thing (even if for a few seconds) was mind blowing!!

Afternoon was spent doing rafting, and it was good fun to build our own rafts and be petrified to learn that we would be using someone else’s experimental creation!!! Still, everyone braved their doubts to head out into uncertain waters, and surprisingly, all rafts survived the trip!!!!! Soaked by the spray, and jumping with exhilaration, the group pictures that were taken after is something which all of us will treasure for a long long time.
