Congratulations to all graduates of
Basic Facilitator Course 14 (BFC 14)!
The BFC 14 course was held on the 27th – 31st of October 2009 in Sentosa and Bintan. A diverse group of 22 individuals came together to participate in this course and at in the end of it emerging as one collective whole.
This 5-day course may have ended but the spirit of BFC 14 still lives on!
FOCUS Adventure warmly welcomes its new additions to the FOCUS family and hopes to see the BFC 14 legacy live on.

It was definitely a great experience for me! I could feel the bonding starting even on the 1st day and it continued to grow and climaxed on the last day of the 5 day course.
Be it energizers, Mobile Adventure Programmes (MAPs), Low elements, High elements or Team Challenge Pyramid (in particular), everyone was participative and great teamwork was recognized. Stronger participants helping weaker ones. More knowledgeable ones sharing ideas to conquer the hurdle together. Well done BFC 14!!

I came expecting the unexpected, and I did experience every challenging moments. I leapt forward having the faith that someone will extend a helping hand and they did. When anyone fell, we rose together as a team. Along the way, we made some self discovery and became more aware of one-self and of others.
Teamwork was elevated to another level when we celebrated our victory after conquering the Team Challenge Pyramid. Along with that, we also learnt that the only way to fight fear is to face it. Finally we made sure we left no man behind.
Thanks to Terence, Chew and all the facilitators and participants for making BFC 14, such a fun and memorable event.

BFC 14 has indeed been a very insightful and memorable 5 days. It has provided an opportunity for Learning, Un-Learning and Re-Learning. The activities done were both physically and mentally demanding. The Team Challenge Pyramids was a real challenge for many of us, however I was greatly spurred on by the encouragements and assurance of my fellow comrades in BFC 14.
Thank you FOCUS Adventure for giving me this opportunity to explore myself, understand my strengths and weaknesses better and most importantly getting to know many fun and nice people from the course.

BFC 14 was one of the most enjoyable and productive time frame that I have had in my professional life so far. If I have to compare between the different time frames that I have spent as a professional so far, in terms of enjoyment, these five days would easily fit in the best 5 professional weeks of my life. While in terms of productivity and learning, I would have to place it in the best 3 weeks of my life that I have spent thus far.
Simply put, the BFC was a great structured programme with an excellent flow and execution and fantastic people to deal with. Special thanks to Terence for making it look so easy and flawless in his delivery. There were really some special eye-opening facts that came through which will definitely make a huge difference to a facilitators outlook and approach towards teambuilding programmes. I certainly have been benefited in a great way by this BFC. Last but not the least, I have made some good friends in Singapore and hope that some of you now have a friend in India as well. So just do not forget me whenever you wish to visit India.
Hopefully we would be able to carry it forward in India as well, with able guidance from Andrew and all other colleagues in true spirits of team building and working together.

Great!!! This was my 2nd Team Challenge Pyramid attempt, but the experience was different and new and exciting.
I have learnt that the power of teamwork and encouragement is truly amazing. Somehow, the trust and patience among team members made it easier to complete the whole challenge.
I am certainly looking forward to our Team Challenge Hourglass. It will be definitely more challenging and exciting.

BFC 14 was one big adventure filled with fun! It has certainly been one great learning experience + holiday. The people, the activities and the challenges that we went through; it will definitely be an experience that I will remember forever!
Who can forget about conquering the 25m high Team Challenge Pyramid? The shaky legs supported only by cable wires? And the reward of coming down via the flying fox to touch ground again? And of course, not forgetting the verry thrilllling ATV ride?!
One thing's for sure, with everyone's help and support, anything is possible! =)
The next thing to do: Take on the upcoming 30m high Team Challenge Hourglass!!!

BFC 14 was definitely an unforgettable adventure - friendships were fostered over challenges and the importance of teambuilding was brought to 'live action'.
We always talk about teamspirit and bonding, but how often do we have hands-on experience?
The 25m high Flying Fox, perched on top of the Team Challenge Pyramid, would still be on my to-do list if not for the motivation + support + thought-process of 'Team BOOMZ & 'the full force of BFC 14 ! Throw in debriefing by our facilitators Terence & Chew, where they highlighted and prompted us to realise pointers that could have been taken for granted, made them look like 'GODS of TEAMBUILDING'
A refreshing eye-opener and must-do for anyone & everyone.
You really don't know till you've done it the FOCUS way; I dare you to take on the challenge with FOCUS yo!
