FOCUS Adventure - BFC 10

   BFC 13 Blog

“Big Things Comes In Small Packages” Day 1, 2nd September

This BFC 13 was different and unique. For one it was held only for a small group of FOCUS newbies and second it was held over two days unlike the usual 5 day course.

Let me share with you more about our wonderful journey through the snap shots taken throughout the entire course…

After an insightful introduction of FOCUS Adventure, its current offering and the list of the numerous successful operations it has locally and overseas, we all gained better knowledge of the company and its culture. Haha.. OMG! My job is so COOL!! Lucky Lucky me.. Woohoo!!

Energizers: Wow.. Hehe a free Morning massage to wake us up and relax everyone as we prepare to kick start the day’s activities :)  Hmm not sure why but our circle just kept on moving and moving like a Merry-go-round of massage.

We also learnt about a couple of secret handshakes and received loads of compliments that made everyone smile last all day.

In our small circle, we all sat down to discuss on our objectives and desired outcomes. This reflection and sharing sessions played an important role throughout the entire course. Because at the end of each activity, it allowed learning outcomes to be further enhanced with the aid of our very professional lead facilitator, Terence.

Mobile Adventure Activities (MAP): Helium Hula.. Looks can really be deceiving.. This task may look and sound simple but trust me it took us a while before we able to work together and achieve the desired outcome. Just look at the amount of concentration of each of our faces… Haha

Knotty issues.. Here we were taught rope skills.. Essential skills required for rope climbing… Figure of 8, Fisherman’s knot..

After lunch, we were introduced to the different Low Elements.. And had a go tight rope walking on the Mohawk walk.. But before that a little trust exercise, The Human Washing Machine..

Next up the High Elements.. Standing 10m tall, this element provides the opportunity to confront and overcome ones fears and perceived limits. Trust and support between and among the belay team and the climber played a vital role.. ‘Team can I trust you!’
