FOCUS Adventure - BFC 10

   BFC 12 Blog

On the 4th day of BFC12, we woke up early to the usual morning jog. After a quick breakfast, this time we went down to the beach.

On the beach, there ropes, tires, life jackets, paddle and long plastic pipes. We are going to do rafting, but the catch is that we have to build our own raft. In the hot sun, each team worked to build their raft and then we tested on the waters as we race each other to the finishing line. We then gave our thoughts on the rafting session.

Next comes the fun part – Jet Skis and Dune Buggies! Tropical climate are so unpredictable. It was scorching hot in the morning but as we zoom around in our jet skis, the rain started to pour and it was painful when the raindrops splattered at a certain speed on your face. But we had fun zooming around the sea at a fast speed.

Then it was off to dune buggy! As it just rained, the group that I was with decided that no one should come back clean. So we rammed through every puddle of mud we can find as we made our way through the rough terrain. For me it is an amazing feeling as I have always wanted to do this and it is great especially you don’t need to care if there is going to be a dent in your car if you bumped into something. By the time we reached back to Camp Challenge, we were soaked in mud.

After the more recreational activities, everyone showered and prepared for another set of surprise from our favorite facilitator – Andrew as he took as back to Nirwana Resorts as we were given another challenge to face. Indeed, every moment is a challenge.
However, another surprise was in store as we were taken downtown (if there is one) to have a eat all you can session, and everyone agreed that food is awesome!

The last day, was a more relax day and some of us got to do the high element. For me, one of the highlight was the Pamper’s Pole where one climbs up to a very high pole and stand on top of it. The objective is jump and lunge for the trapeze. I did not managed to catch it but there was so much adrenaline rush for me that I went up twice in a row.

I can safely say that it was a mixed of emotions for most of us as we were happy to be going home but yet at the same time sad to be leaving. Through these 5 days, we have become from strangers to friends who you know can count on.
