BFC 12 Blog |

On the 15th of October, I arrived early at FOCUS office in Sentosa for the first day of the BFC12. I have not gone through a team building session before so besides wanting to have fun and challenge myself, I am curious as well. As everyone showed up, I am quite surprised to notice that there are people from all walks of life.

After breakfast, we proceed into the function room. Introductions were made and expectations were put out in the open. The morning started off with a few ice breakers and then we did a few Mobile Adventure Programs (MAP). Each one of the MAPs actually made all of us open up our minds and look at the bigger picture. Teamwork was the main subject for the morning and each challenge reinforces the idea of teamwork. After every challenge, we have a debriefing on what are our thoughts and what have we learnt from that.
To my amazement, by the afternoon a bunch of people who were strangers early this morning stood united and bonded in some ways.

After lunch, we had a few outdoor activities. The Whale Watch had us balancing ourselves on a giant seesaw, we then balance walked on the Mohawk Walk, followed by squeezing ourselves through the holes of the Spider’s Web and gave each other a boost up on the Low Wall.
I would say that by then we are united as a team and we think and act as a team. The whole idea of teamwork is definitely embed into our minds as we gave each other a helping hand as we go through the challenges together. |
