Andrew Chua has over 10 years of experience in adventure learning. He is one of the pioneer facilitators that populated integration of action-oriented and interactive experiential learning modules into mainstream programmes like Teambuilding Challenge, Situational Leadership, The Leadership Challenge, The Learning Organisation and LEGO SERIOUS PLAY. This has effected a transformation in learning within the corporate arena.
Andrew has designed and facilitated in programmes specific to client’s objectives like conflict management, problem solving, values integration and shared vision. He has worked with most of the market leaders of various industries like Cisco Systems, FedEx, Citibank, Seagate Technologies, AIA, HSBC, SingTel and P&G.
Andrew is currently pursuing an MBA from the University of Leicester. He holds a Diploma in Human Resource Development and a Degree in Business Administration. In addition, he is licensed to conduct Situational Leadership II (Ken Blanchard and Co), Strength Deployment Inventory (Dr Elias Porter, PSP) and The Innovative Team (Leahy and Associates). In 2006, Andrew attended LEGO SERIOUS PLAY facilitation workshop in Florida and become one of the few LSP certified facilitators in Singapore. Andrew is also a Certified Behavioural Consultant.

He was a leader in sports teams and uniform groups in school. In university, he was President of the Asian Students' Association. Kelvin sailed with the Singapore Navy and topped the Advanced Courses for Naval Officers. He also captained the Singapore Navy rugby team to the inter-services title.
Kelvin has travelled to more than 40 countries and worked in management positions in Singapore Airlines, call centres, education and lifestyle industries. He was the team manager for Singapore shooting team at the Asian Games and the World Championships.
Kelvin now uses his broad experience to inject a fresh angle into training, specialising in experiential learning. He was also a lecturer in Applied Performance Psychology. As a nature guide, he occasionally leads expeditions to far-flung places such as Madagascar and the Galapagos.
Kelvin has an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a post-graduate degree in Psychology from the Australian National University. He is accredited in profiling instruments and is also a practitioner of Neuro-Linguistics Programming and Neuro-Semantics.
Low Sau Bing started his career in marketing that required the development of a new business line. He later joined the education sector as a lecturer in a junior college and as a head of department in Institute of Technical Education.
During his career in education, Sau Bing was actively involved in the design, development and delivery of training programmes such as leadership and relationship skills, as well as staff training. He subsequently joined the private sector to pursue his interest in doing training and development for private corporations.
Since joining FOCUS Adventure as a facilitator, Sau Bing has conducted adventure-based outdoor teambuilding programmes for a number of companies from different industries such as finance (American Express, Prebon Yamane), manufacturing (Fisher Rosemount, Delphi), service (Hotel Rendezvous, Ascendas), IT (Cisco Systems, Decillion Solutions) and telecommunications (StarHub).
Sau Bing's personal mission for life and vocation is to 'make a positive impact on people around him'. In extending his reach, he is currently developing and delivering further programmes such as family programmes and using EQ to enhance personal growth.
Enrico Varella is an industrial psychologist specialising in values-based learning for large-scale, organisational change processes. He works with staff at all levels in corporations to instill corporate core values through experiential-based activities and cognitive exercises.
Enrico utilises a wide repertoire of skills and discipline in his work, including applied psychology, education, leadership, NLP™, EOM™, PIPS™, and Solutions Focused Brief Therapy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology, and a Master of Education (Leadership & Management).
Enrico has held various executive positions in sales, human resource development, corporate communications, journalism, fitness and recreation, and hospitality. He has worked with major MNCs, Fortune 500 companies, civil service and statutory boards. He speaks 6 languages, and has made presentations and delivered corporate training programmes in 15 countries including SE Asia, China, Japan and the former-USSR.
Enrico appears on national radio and press regularly, and is much sought after for public speaking engagements and conferences. He was the only featured local magician to appear on the highly publicised AXN series, MONDO MAGIC SINGAPORE. Enrico is also a published author, playwright, editor and volunteer, as well as an active sportsman who races in Ironman Triathlons.
Adam Chan has travelled the road least traveled. He obtained an honors degree from Nanyang Technological University in engineering and he spent a few founding career years as an engineer, he made a career switch into human capital development. The journey started in Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) from 1998 to 2006 as a facilitator.
He last held the position of Manager for Training Development in OBS where he oversaw the training route map and development of in-house training programs for both new and existing facilitators. He has facilitated programs of noteworthy clients like INSEAD’s new entrances, SIA's Cadet Pilots, Singapore Police Force's cadet inspectors.
After leaving OBS, he entered the private sector which he held the portfolio of Learning & Development in Dairy Farm Singapore. Noteworthy, he has managed the learning needs of a network of 300 plus convenience stores. He pioneered the concept of de-centralized operation training. Juggling the multiple work demands, he was also a member of the core team in a key merger project. In addition, he has developed and conducted in-house training programs such as Hiring skills for Managers, Conducting Effective Meetings, Performance Appraisal, Induction of Company Core Values, WSQ modules in retailing industry, etc.
Part of this career journey included setting up the operations of the SAFRA Adventure Hub. He introduced artificial ice-climbing as the first in Singapore. In addition, he led the way in tapping on the corporate market by conceiving curriculum for training would-be trainers.
His unending passion for progression has led to obtaining the administering rights for the Myer Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Conflict Dynamic Profile psychometric tool. He has also conversant in developing and conducting competency-based learning (WSQ modules) as he has attained the full certification in the Advance Certification in Training Assessment (ACTA). This passion finds its way to Republic Polytechnic too. He is currently an Associate Academic lecturing under the Diploma of Outdoor Adventure Learning.
Now with FOCUS Adventure and equipped ten over thousands of hours of facilitation field time over years, he has conducted a wide repertoire of programs utilizing uncommon tools like remote controlled model tanks, jumping clays, Lego, musical instruments, etc which make the learning experiences real and lasting. He has the privilege in working with noteworthy clients like the CEOs under Ministry of Trade & Industry, management team of IDA, Senior Officers’ of Home Team, Training-the trainer for NTUC and PSA, Linde Group Cultural Workshop for senior executives, etc.

Andrew Leong’s mileage in the corporate was five fruitful years in Wyeth and Akzo Nobel as a Chemist and QC engineer. Learning & development of a corporation is not alien to him thus the two years in FOCUS Adventure, Andrew’s accelerated development has enabled him to work with clients of senior management and executives levels in facilitating Leadership, Teambuilding and Innovation programmes.
High energy and engaging, his enthusiasm has made every one of his programme a success and never without fun. Some of the clients he worked with include GIC, INSEAD, TransitLink, Bax Global and Loreal.
Committed to the Singapore Rover Scouts, Andrew serves as the Head of Training. He has organised overseas training and skills development programmes and fund-raising activities. An exceptional student leader, he also represented Singapore Polytechnic in an overseas exchange program to Japan. In recognition of his boundless energy and capabilities, he was awarded the prestigious 'Golden Bayonet' award in National Service.
Active and sporty he is; this passion has driven him to pursue sports related skills and qualifications. Currently, he is a holder of a qualified sports trainer (Level One, SMA) and a sports masseuse with the Singapore Sports Council.
Academically, Andrew graduated with a Bachelor in Sports Science from Edith Cowan University with distinctions in Sociology (Team Dynamics) and Exercise Rehabilitations.
Terence Tan is a lead facilitator with FOCUS Adventure over three years. Prior to joining FOCUS, he was a mechanical engineer with a consulting firm, well conditioned to manage multiple construction projects. His niche is in the Mechanical and Electrical field which honed him in adopting thinking approaches from a systemic point of view.
In FOCUS he rapidly emerges as one of our fast track facilitators, capable of delivering high impact, high energy Leadership, Teambuilding and Innovation programmes.
During the last 3 years, Terence has worked with some of the numerous companies in Singapore and in the Region. He is able to weave clients’ learning objectives creatively into FOCUS’s unique experiential activities with effectiveness, energy and merriment. He never fails to offer his clients novel and useful perspectives in understanding ways to enhance interpersonal relationship at workplace.

Being an avid sports and outdoor enthusiast, his involvement with sports has seen him though being captain and sportsman of the year when he was an undergraduate. Academically, Terence holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Graduate Diploma in Training and Development and is a Certified Behavioral Consultant (DISC).
Andy Pan is both a dynamic and eloquent facilitator with FOCUS Adventure. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia and the Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), as awarded by the Workforce Development Agency (WDA) of Singapore.
Andy has facilitated more than 300 teambuilding and leadership programmes with major clients from a myriad of industries such as Electronic Arts, DSTA, Transitlink, National University of Singapore, DBS, Singtel etc. Being a humourous and thought-provoking public speaker, Andy is highly sought after by several of his clients. Andy was also involved in the conduct of a successful run of teambuilding programs for the entire staff force of Singapore Power and Shangri-La Hotel, which were designed to foster a team culture within the respective organizations. In 2008, Andy was the lead facilitator in an ongoing run of the Ministry of Manpower’s Values in Action program, which is designed as part of an orientation program for new officers. While in FOCUS Adventure, Andy was the in-house trainer for the company’s facilitators and was heavily involved in the design and conduct of training modules.
Even during his younger days, Andy was passionately involved in people development. Being an active and enthusiastic student leader, he was awarded the prestigious Chief Commisioner’s Award and the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) for his contribution to the Singapore Scouts.
Andy is also a qualified licensed practitioner of 3 unique personality type profiling tools, namely the Temperaments Model, Interaction Styles and the Majors PTI. He is also equally familiar with other personality profiling tools like DISC and MBTI, as he seeks to help his clients discover more about themselves and their teams. Andy strives to empower and energize everyone around him and is currently en-route to becoming a certified Neuro-Linguistics Programming (NLP) practitioner.
Shan K is a highly motivated individual with strong passion for the great outdoors and adventure learning. His exposure in the field of learning and development has been four years. Seeking to offer his clients valuable discoveries, the training as a Certified Behavioral Consultant has enabled him to attain this desire.
He conducts quality adventure learning program, radiating his jovial characteristics to the clients thus making the program very enjoyable and unforgettable. As a Certified Behavioral Consultant, his vision is to assist people in discovering their full potential and be successful in their personal and professional life. His ability to inject energy into his participants has always made him an effective facilitator. Shan’s portfolio extends beyond the field of adventure learning. Currently, he is the business leader for CAMP CHALLENGE Pte Ltd, a subsidiary to FOCUS Adventure that designs and markets adventure learning programs to the schooling youth. His vision in developing CAMP CHALLENGE has led to developing of a new site at Sembawang, on-route to be one of largest adventure learning sites in Singapore for students equipped with both adventure learning and residential facilities to cater to the students’ character development needs.
Reading Materials Science in the National University of Singapore, Shan K graduated with a Bachelor Degree.
Leonard Kok is a multi-talented person and an experienced educator, Leonard has garnered a vast repertoire of people development experiences and skills, including teaching youths, children with special needs and adults in both local and overseas educational institutions.
As a trained educator, Leonard managed and led different departments and held key appointments in planning, designing and executing creative enrichment programmes for young people and adults for more than ten years. He was also responsible for setting strategic goals and developing innovative curriculum and was the champion for Innovation and Enterprise (I&E) where he spearheaded a series of creative programmes for various key stakeholders.
Leonard studied English Language, English Literature and Sociology at the National University of Singapore. He holds a Masters in Applied Linguistics from the National University of Singapore and the Regional English Language Centre. He lectures at Temasek Business School and on a part time basis, he teaches English in NUS.
Leonard has a deep passion for the outdoors and has always led a very active outdoor life. In his student days, he was active in various kinds of sports and was also a leader in National Cadet Corps uniformed group.
He is also a creative, hands-on person with a special skill in working with air-dry clay and creating board games for fun and educational purposes.

Leonard is a firm believer of continuous learning and that one has to constantly unlearn, learn and relearn in order to maximise one’s potential.
Sylvain hails from France and he is an experienced traveller. As a student, he was already travelling while studying Geography. Since leaving his home country more than ten years ago, he had lived and worked in Scotland, Switzerland, Spain and Finland. He has also travelled to many countries across Europe, Latin America and Asia.
Sylvain started his career as a camp counselor, working predominantly with young people from the low income bracket. His experience in the hospitality field also gave him a good sense of customer service and exposed him to a wide variety of people.
His passion for nature and outdoor adventure also brought him to Finland where he completed a physically and mentally demanding International Wilderness Guide Course. In Finland, he worked in Lapland as a snow-mobile guide where he introduced adventure-seekers to extreme polar conditions. He is also proficient in using dog-sledges, which enabled him to study about motivation in animals.
Sylvain thrives on challenges and new experiences and has a wide repertoire of outdoor skills. He is proficient in canoeing and kayaking (BCU 2 stars), diving (PADI) (Advance), snowboarding, rock climbing, mountain biking and trekking.
Currently committed to FOCUS Adventure and CAMP CHALLENGE, Sylvain’s facilitation style is strongly linked to his experiences and he brings multicultural and diversity into the programmes that he runs. Joey Ng graduated with a Bachelors degree in Human Resource and Marketing Management from Murdoch University. He also holds a Diploma in Tourism Management from Temasek Polytechnic and during that period was awarded the top Marketing Research student in the cohort. Having held a front-line management position in Starbucks Coffee for 2 years, Joey believes that the skills he acquired allow him to connect and communicate with people from various walks of life. Joey’s strong passion for interaction and meeting new people make him easy to ‘click’ with and befriend.
As a member of FOCUS Adventure HRD team, Joey is able to relate to the everyday challenge faced by organizations in developing and nurturing talents. This understanding allows him to analyze the programme through an additional dimension. Joey is a strong believer that a good relationship is the foundation of any team that wants to succeed, and this is a message he is able to consistently align with his programs. Chew Wei Guan’s career journey was never far from services and passion. Served in both private and public sector, the exposure has granted him numerous opportunities in interacting with a great diversity of people. He was a financial consultant in AIA and while in CPF, he managed requests and feedback from the public. Prior to joining FOCUS Adventure, he was teaching in under the Ministry on Education. The calling from the outdoor impels him in switching from teaching to facilitating.
Outdoors to Wei Guan is the best theatre for learning to take place at multiple sensory levels. His ability to impel participants to invest greatly in the activities, striving to attain quality in both outcomes and their relationship comes with ease to him. During facilitation, Wei Guan displayed great strength in creating metaphors that are down-to-earth thus making the metaphoric transfer easily identifiable to the participants.

James Soh is passionate for sports and adventure learning since youth. Guided by this passion, he has since graduated with a Bachelor in Science (Sports Science) from Edith Cowan University.
It was as good as the call of nature that he decided to enter FOCUS Adventure to further hone his knowledge and experiences in the field of adventure learning. Not only is he self-driven in learning, he believes in refinement of his knowledge to mastery. For attaining growth and changes, he gladly ventures into new experiences by displaying his ability to create values through experiential activities to meet clients’ learning needs. His authentic and genuine style of facilitation fosters good rapport amongst participants. With a keen ability to conceptualize abstract ideas and pragmatic approach to making learning fun, James engages clients to derive memorable learning experiences from the activities applicable to their daily lives.
James’s has garnered years of experiences in adventure and team-building through his involvement with The Boys’ Brigade of Singapore. He has organized youth leadership camps for the adolescence.
Consistent with his passion, he was awarded the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) for his contribution as a Sport Leader. While serving the nation, he has also represented his unit’s Basketball Team.
An avid sportsman, he engages in many sports like speed-climbing, rollerblading, kayaking, etc. In doing these, he draws inspiration and a sense of liberation that he would unreservedly convey the energy to his peers.
His wide range of experiences and exposure gives him the aptitude to understand and relate well with people of all ages and walks of life.
Alex Yeo - "Don´t quit when winning, don’t quit when losing and don’t quit when hurt.” Alex’s own personal mission statement strongly sums up his ‘Never-Say-Die’ attitude. Always up for a challenge and optimistic even when things look dim, Alex’s presence and words of encouragement never fails to inspire others and re-ignites even the lowest of morales.
Academically, Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with Management from the Singapore Institute of Management as well as a Diploma in Mechatronics from Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Alex found his calling and joined FOCUS Adventure after attending the Basic Facilitator Course 6. Since then, he has successfully led numerous teambuilding programmes for corporate clients such as Microsoft, Miele, National University of Singapore, etc. His infectious laughter and ability to tailor teambuilding programmes to cater to different organizations is always a winning combination and a valuable asset that clients appreciate and applaud. With him, every programme is always a new and enlightening memorable experience.
Alex is also an avid diver and secured the franchise for Technical and Scuba Diving International in South East Asia. As a dive professional in the diving industry, he leads, facilitates and conducts an array of exciting Scuba Diving courses. His passion for diving is clearly reflected in his upmost drive to not only create greater public awareness and interest in Scuba Diving but also to establish Scuba Diving as The hobby to take up in the region. His enthusiasm and love for Scuba Diving has brought him to explore the many great and relatively unknown dive spots like Java, Sumatra, Vietnam. He enjoys not just the dive but also appreciates experiencing the local life that each different unique culture offers.
Fabian Ng holds a Bachelors Degree in Information Technology (Multimedia & Game Development) and a Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (Mobile Computing). Feeling the lack of human interaction from his field of studies, he seeks a more challenging career which would allow him the opportunity to work with people. With his motivation and interest in human relations, Fabian spent two years as a Customer Care Consultant with StarHub Cable Vision Ltd, during which, he received several acknowledgments in the services he provided. He was awarded The Customer Care Consultant of the Month.
Fabian's thirst for knowledge about human interactions led him to FOCUS. He now actively apply his past knowledge of human interaction into programs he is involved with and at the same time, seeks to improve his perspective on human behaviors. He firmly believes that human interaction forms the basis of human relation and that only through constant observations and contact would he be able to achieve his desires of finding out why people behave the way they do.
With an outgoing personality, fun-loving attitude and an easy-going nature, Fabian is not only able to form good relationship with his co-workers but also the participants of every program he is involved in. Looking ahead, Fabian continues to improve himself in every area possible and to soar further in the field of facilitation.
Dean Martin graduated with a Honors Bachelor Degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He also holds a Diploma in Marine Engineering from Singapore Polytechnic and during that period, he earned himself an award - The Tripartite Sponsorship from major companies in the Shipping Industry.
With vast experience in the Hospitality, Shipping & Engineering sectors, Dean has a natural flair for interacting with people from all walks of life, both young and experienced. He also enjoys intellectual conversations with seniors as well as top management.
His desire and constant pursuit for excellence inspired him to join FOCUS Adventure's elite team of Facilitators. In so doing, he would not only be able to pursue his passion for interacting with people but also enhance his own character and personality through the experience.
Still in the early stages of his career as a FOCUS Facilitator, Dean has dedicated himself to the fine art of team building and leadership activities. His goal is to ensure that every FOCUS participant not only has a memorable and exciting time but a fruitful and life changing experience as well.
Rakesh Balachandran has worked in corporate sales and marketing function for the past 5 years in Hewlett Packard India, with a variety of experience including time spent on client relationship management, product management and marketing. He has honed his customer engagement capabilities and business management skills during these years spent in corporate sales. His passion and high energy are some of things his clients like about him.
He is also an avid sports follower, being an amateur snooker and cricket player and a keen interest in following a variety of sports. Other activities include reading fiction: military strategy and adventure being his favourite genres.
Academically, Rakesh has been successful throughout, and holds a graduate degree in Electronics and Communication engineering and a Post Graduate Degree in Management from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. The academic background has helped him hone his analytical skills and he still pursues his passion for numbers and mathematics.
Leon Chan served as a Physical Education teacher at a local primary school for 3 years, his experience in teaching has taught him significantly the virtue of being patient. Apart from teaching Leon also held on various portfolios during his teaching career, one of which as the head coach of the school's rugby team. Leading the team on to multiple championships during his service.
He is also deeply passionate for sports and has represented the country for rugby and in his past time he plays the violin for pleasure.
Leon also hold several certificates for level 2 coaching and is also an NLP Practitioner, at the same time using his experiences to touch lives around him.
Arun Rao joined FOCUS in 2009, with over 12 years of experience in General management, Sales and Marketing and Operations, with reputed MNC and Indian organisations like Hewlett Packard, Godrej and HCL. In his last stint before joining FOCUS, he was the Country Manager for the Business PC category for HP India.
Having been a part of multiple teams, he is a firm believer about the "team" being the competitive advantage between companies. An avowed "peoples person", he brings in the much needed enthusiasm and passion that a new operation calls for, in delivering the same world class FOCUS experience to India.
An engineer with a management degree from the Xavier Institute of Management, he is also accredited in administering the Myer Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) profiling tool. An avid reader and writer, he couples this with his field experience and passion for training - while delivering programs to clients.
Joseph Fernandez adheres to the notion of empowering an individual to optimize his/her potential.
He was involved with ESL (English as second language) for 3 years with tenure as corporate trainer in Neungyule Education (Korea’s leading Company) with its flagship division in the Philippines. Together with a qualified team, he engineered a training program that ensures quality service to their clients. He introduced the concept of corporate culture training and employee personal development as he firmly believes teachers play the most important role in the organization’s vision-mission.
Joseph extended his principles outside the office and became a certified fitness coach, helping individuals improve their lifestyle. He continues this commitment by also working as a columnist for Health & Lifestyle Magazines with topics ranging from positive thinking, exercise, to dieting, etc.
His academic background states a degree in psychology, units in language education and currently in a program in clinical psychology.
Given his experience, love for meeting people of different cultures and an inclination to outdoor adventures, sports, traveling, fitness, human behavior & development, Joseph intends to carry on with people empowerment through experiential learning.
