Andrew Chua has over 10 years of experience in adventure learning. He is one of the pioneer facilitators that populated integration of action-oriented and interactive experiential learning modules into mainstream programmes like Teambuilding Challenge, Situational Leadership, The Leadership Challenge, The Learning Organisation and LEGO SERIOUS PLAY. This has effected a transformation in learning within the corporate arena.
Andrew has designed and facilitated in programmes specific to client’s objectives like conflict management, problem solving, values integration and shared vision. He has worked with most of the market leaders of various industries like Cisco Systems, FedEx, Citibank, Seagate Technologies, AIA, HSBC, SingTel and P&G.
Andrew is currently pursuing an MBA from the University of Leicester. He holds a Diploma in Human Resource Development and a Degree in Business Administration. In addition, he is licensed to conduct Situational Leadership II (Ken Blanchard and Co), Strength Deployment Inventory (Dr Elias Porter, PSP) and The Innovative Team (Leahy and Associates). In 2006, Andrew attended LEGO SERIOUS PLAY facilitation workshop in Florida and become one of the few LSP certified facilitators in Singapore. Andrew is also a Certified Behavioural Consultant.

Kelvin Chen has always been a leader.
He was a leader in sports teams and uniform groups in school. In university, he was President of the Asian Students' Association. Kelvin sailed with the Singapore Navy and topped the Advanced Courses for Naval Officers. He also captained the Singapore Navy rugby team to the inter-services title.
Kelvin has travelled to more than 40 countries and worked in management positions in Singapore Airlines, call centres, education and lifestyle industries. He was the team manager for Singapore shooting team at the Asian Games and the World Championships.
Kelvin now uses his broad experience to inject a fresh angle into training, specialising in experiential learning. He was also a lecturer in Applied Performance Psychology. As a nature guide, he occasionally leads expeditions to far-flung places such as Madagascar and the Galapagos.
Kelvin has an MBA from Edinburgh Business School and a post-graduate degree in Psychology from the Australian National University. He is accredited in profiling instruments and is also a practitioner of Neuro-Linguistics Programming and Neuro-Semantics.

Low Sau Bing started his career in marketing that required the development of a new business line. He later joined the education sector as a lecturer in a junior college and as a head of department in Institute of Technical Education.
During his career in education, Sau Bing was actively involved in the design, development and delivery of training programmes such as leadership and relationship skills, as well as staff training. He subsequently joined the private sector to pursue his interest in doing training and development for private corporations.
Since joining FOCUS Adventure as a facilitator, Sau Bing has conducted adventure-based outdoor teambuilding programmes for a number of companies from different industries such as finance (American Express, Prebon Yamane), manufacturing (Fisher Rosemount, Delphi), service (Hotel Rendezvous, Ascendas), IT (Cisco Systems, Decillion Solutions) and telecommunications (StarHub).
Sau Bing's personal mission for life and vocation is to 'make a positive impact on people around him'. In extending his reach, he is currently developing and delivering further programmes such as family programmes and using EQ to enhance personal growth.

Enrico Varella is an industrial psychologist specialising in values-based learning for large-scale, organisational change processes. He works with staff at all levels in corporations to instill corporate core values through experiential-based activities and cognitive exercises.
Enrico utilises a wide repertoire of skills and discipline in his work, including applied psychology, education, leadership, NLP™, EOM™, PIPS™, and Solutions Focused Brief Therapy. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology, and a Master of Education (Leadership & Management).
Enrico has held various executive positions in sales, human resource development, corporate communications, journalism, fitness and recreation, and hospitality. He has worked with major MNCs, Fortune 500 companies, civil service and statutory boards. He speaks 6 languages, and has made presentations and delivered corporate training programmes in 15 countries including SE Asia, China, Japan and the former-USSR.
Enrico appears on national radio and press regularly, and is much sought after for public speaking engagements and conferences. He was the only featured local magician to appear on the highly publicised AXN series, MONDO MAGIC SINGAPORE. Enrico is also a published author, playwright, editor and volunteer, as well as an active sportsman who races in Ironman Triathlons. |

Adam Chan obtained an honors degree from Nanyang Technological University majoring in engineering. Renouncing his engineering track, he made a career switch into personal effectiveness development and joined Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) from 1998 to 2006 as a facilitator
He left OBS as the Manager for Training Development where he oversaw the development of in-house training programs and conducting the training programs for newly joint facilitators as well as managing the their training route map. He has facilitated high profile clients like INSEAD new entrances, SIA's Cadet Pilots, Singapore Police Force's cadet inspectors.
In the corporate sector, he has served in Dairy Farm Singapore holding the Learning & Development portfolio. Noteworthy, he has launched de-centralized operation training concept for a network of 300 plus convenient stores and joined the core team in a key retail chain merger project. In addition, he has developed and conducted in-house training programs such as Hiring skills for Managers, Conducting Effective Meetings, Performance Appraisal, Company Core Values, Story-teller Series. He is also accredited in administering Myer Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) profiling tool.
With SAFRA, he has pioneered Ice Climbing courses in Singapore. In addition, he blazed the trail in tapping on the corporate market thus developing training syllabus for enabling-the-trainer programs focusing in program design and client management.
He has conducted a wide repertoire of programs utilizing uncommon tools like remote controlled model tanks, jumping clays, Lego, musical instruments, etc which make the learning experiences real and lasting. The wide repertoire has exposed him to many high profile clients like the Permanent Secretary, management team of IDA, Senior Officers’ of Home Team, Training-the trainer for NTUC and PSA, Linde Group Cultural Workshop for senior executives, etc.
His personal beliefs; don’t stop dreaming or imagining, for one who looses this ability may still exist but he has ceased to live.

Andrew Leong’s mileage in the corporate was five fruitful years in Wyeth and Akzo Nobel as a Chemist and QC engineer. Learning & development of a corporation is not alien to him thus the two years in FOCUS Adventure, Andrew’s accelerated development has enabled him to work with clients of senior management and executives levels in facilitating Leadership, Teambuilding and Innovation programmes.
High energy and engaging, his enthusiasm has made every one of his programme a success and never without fun. Some of the clients he worked with include GIC, INSEAD, TransitLink, Bax Global and Loreal.
Committed to the Singapore Rover Scouts, Andrew serves as the Head of Training. He has organised overseas training and skills development programmes and fund-raising activities. An exceptional student leader, he also represented Singapore Polytechnic in an overseas exchange program to Japan. In recognition of his boundless energy and capabilities, he was awarded the prestigious 'Golden Bayonet' award in National Service.
Active and sporty he is; this passion has driven him to pursue sports related skills and qualifications. Currently, he is a holder of a qualified sports trainer (Level One, SMA) and a sports masseuse with the Singapore Sports Council.
Academically, Andrew graduated with a Bachelor in Sports Science from Edith Cowan University with distinctions in Sociology (Team Dynamics) and Exercise Rehabilitations.

Terence Tan is a lead facilitator with FOCUS Adventure over three years. Prior to joining FOCUS, he was a civil engineer well conditioned to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously for over three years. His nice is in the Mechanical and Electrical field which honed him in adopting thinking approaches from a systemic point of view. In FOCUS he rapidly emerges as one of our fast track facilitators, capable of delivering high impact, high energy Leadership, Teambuilding and Innovation programmes.
During the last 3 years, Terence has worked with some of the best companies in Singapore. He is able to weave clients’ learning objectives creatively into FOCUS ’s unique experiential activities with effectiveness, energy and merriment. As a Certified Behavioural Consultant, he never fails to offer his clients novel and useful perspectives in understanding ways to enhance interpersonal relationship at workplace. Clients who have benefited from these programmes include SingTel, HSBC, P & G, DHL, TNT Logistics, Merck, RS Components, Shangri-La Hotel, Rockwell Automation, Honeywell, AMD, Manulife, AIA, UBS, Cypress Semiconductor, etc., which count among the more than 150 corporate clients to date.

Andy Pan is both a dynamic and eloquent facilitator with FOCUS Adventure. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia.
On an accelerated learning curve, Andy has facilitated teambuilding programme with some major clients from a myriad of industries such as Intercontinental Hotel Singapore, SPRING Singapore, Johnson & Johnson, Bayer, Transitlink etc. Drawing inspiring metaphors from outdoors, he frequently seeks out for adventure activities like canoeing, rappelling, belaying and rock-climbing. Skillfully, he utilizes the metaphors in the program thus adding value to the program.
Andy drives has made him an over-achiever; held several leadership positions as a peer support leader, patrol leader, adventure camp leader etc. with the Scouts, prefectorial boards and student council. His strong commitment to excellence, Andy also received several awards for his dedication such as Best Recruit, a Certificate of Distinction and the prestigious Chief Commisioner’s Award in Scouts. Subsequently, he was awarded the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) for his contribution to the Singapore Scouts.
Andy is also a qualified licensed practitioner of 3 unique personality type profiling tools, namely the Temperaments Model, Interaction Styles and the Majors PTI. Shan K is a highly motivated individual with strong passion for the great outdoors and adventure learning. His exposure in the field of learning and development has been four years. Seeking to offer his clients valuable discoveries, the training as a Certified Behavioral Consultant has enabled him to attain this desire.
He conducts quality adventure learning program, radiating his jovial characteristics to the clients thus making the program very enjoyable and unforgettable. As a Certified Behavioral Consultant, his vision is to assist people in discovering their full potential and be successful in their personal and professional life. His ability to inject energy into his participants has always made him an effective facilitator. Shan’s portfolio extends beyond the field of adventure learning. Currently, he is the business leader for CAMP CHALLENGE Pte Ltd, a subsidiary to FOCUS Adventure that designs and markets adventure learning programs to the schooling youth. His vision in developing CAMP CHALLENGE has led to developing of a new site at Sembawang, on-route to be one of largest adventure learning sites in Singapore for students equipped with both adventure learning and residential facilities to cater to the students’ character development needs.

Leonard Kok is a multi-talented person and an experienced educator, who has garnered a vast repertoire of people development experiences and skills, including teaching youths, children with special needs and adults, in both local and overseas educational institutions.
As a trained educator, Leonard managed and led different departments and held key appointments in planning, designing and executing creative enrichment programmes for young people and adults for more than ten years. He was also responsible for setting strategic goals and developing innovative curriculum and was the champion for Innovation and Enterprise (I&E) where he spearheaded a series of creative programmes for various key stakeholders.
Leonard studied English Language, English Literature and Sociology at the National University of Singapore. He holds a Masters in Applied Linguistics from the National University of Singapore and the Regional English Language Centre. Currently and on a part time basis, he teaches English in NUS.
Leonard has a deep passion for the outdoors and has always led a very active outdoor life. In his student days, he was active in various kinds of sports and was also a leader in National Cadet Corps uniformed group.
He is also a creative, hands-on person with a special skill in working with air-dry clay and creating board games for fun and educational purposes.
He has facilitated corporate team-building programmes for many corporate clients, including MAS, SingTel, CPF, CNB, Singapore Power, Transitlink, LKY School of Policy, Linde Gas, Price Waterhouse Cooper, Coca-Cola and many others.

James Simpson is a patriotic Welshman from the United Kingdom. His passion for the outdoors directed him to join the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme at just thirteen years old. Being exposed to a wide range of outdoor sports since young has given him a unique perspective in life and provided the foundation blocks for his personal academic and career goals.
James is an ambitious young man who challenged himself in his varsity days by assisting in planning exciting and rewarding expeditions in order to complete his Bronze and Silver awards. As a result, James now has fond memories of Hiking in Ireland, Cycling expedition in France and Canoeing expedition on England’s most challenging river ‘Wye’ with it’s captivatingly scary rapids. All these adventurous activities have earned James both medals awarded by senior Royals in the British Monarchy. His Kayaking was awarded a 2-star by the Welsh Canoeing Authority in 2004. James is hoping to meet the Duke of Edinburgh himself by completing his final Gold Award sections here in Singapore with FOCUS Adventure.
James Simpson studied a pioneering degree course in (2001) Adventure Tourism Management at Birmingham University and obtained a Bachelor in Arts with honors in 2006. He was one of the original few on this exciting course that took advantage of the chance to explore many parts of the world. James specialized in Anthropology, Contemporary International Issues, Safety management and Risk Management.
James is an avid traveller who has made Singapore a home away from home. His passion is meeting new people from diverse cultures and this, he believes, strengthens greater understanding of diverse beliefs and cultures.
James has a great deal of determination and passion to see through tasks that are presented to him and he does this with safety consciousness and having fun along the journey.

Isaac Peter graduated with an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering. Garnering skill, knowledge and attitude in this field for 5 years, the duration provided wide exposure to various aspects where he has experienced both Japanese and Western MNCs. Covering a span of specialties like processes, production as well as developmental, the experience granted him contacts with co-workers from operation to management level in acquiring creative cost effective solutions. This has allowed him to appreciate various concerns at the different levels.
Carrying a passion for people, he radically switched in 2004 by exiting the corporate sector and took on the challenges of leading a not-for-profit organization. His accelerated learning curve enabled him to develop and expand two of the core programs and it is still among the foundational programs of the organization. Noteworthy, Isaac has bridged strategic alliances among the Community Development Council (CDC), Resident Committee (RC) and with other not-for-profit organizations. The alliances have given these organizations greater visibility and reach into the community.
Constantly seeking for new opportunities, he started a distribution company dealing in natural products. Managing the company broaden his perspective and deepened his insights. Regularly he is challenged by tough decision junctions, managing clients’ expectations, sustaining the supply chain and invigorating staff morale.
Venturing outdoors is where he seeks for challenges that are both physically and mentally demanding. His spirit in challenging himself has drawn him to participate in running and adventure races, even adrenalin pumping activities such as bungee jumping and off road mountain biking. He also enjoys scuba diving and is an accomplished tennis and squash player and represents SAFRA in the Singapore National Squash League.
His wide range of experiences and exposure gives him the aptitude to understand and relate well with people of all ages and experiences. As a facilitator, he is able to create openness among participants that lead to immense sharing of useful insights. His amiable, upfront, witty and animated personality keeps the participant engaged.

Chew Wei Guan’s career journey was never far from services and passion. Served in both private and public sector, the exposure has granted him numerous opportunities in interacting with a great diversity of people. He was a financial consultant in AIA and while in CPF, he managed requests and feedback from the public. Prior to joining FOCUS Adventure, he was teaching in under the Ministry on Education. The calling from the outdoor impels him in switching from teaching to facilitating.
Outdoors to Wei Guan is the best theatre for learning to take place at multiple sensory levels. His ability to impel participants to invest greatly in the activities, striving to attain quality in both outcomes and their relationship comes with ease to him. During facilitation, Wei Guan displayed great strength in creating metaphors that are down-to-earth thus making the metaphoric transfer easily identifiable to the participants.
Equipped with teaching background, he is sensitive to participants’ learning needs by offering the right amount of challenges to different types of learners.

Sylvain hails from France and he is an experienced traveller. As a student, he was already travelling while studying Geography. Since leaving his home country more than ten years ago, he had lived and worked in Scotland, Switzerland, Spain and Finland. He has also travelled to many countries across Europe, Latin America and Asia.
Sylvain started his career as a camp counselor, working predominantly with young people from the low income bracket. His experience in the hospitality field also gave him a good sense of customer service and exposed him to a wide variety of people.
His passion for nature and outdoor adventure also brought him to Finland where he completed a physically and mentally demanding International Wilderness Guide Course. In Finland, he worked in Lapland as a snow-mobile guide where he introduced adventure-seekers to extreme polar conditions. He is also proficient in using dog-sledges, which enabled him to study about motivation in animals.
Sylvain thrives on challenges and new experiences and has a wide repertoire of outdoor skills. He is proficient in canoeing and kayaking (BCU 2 stars), diving (PADI) (Advance), snowboarding, rock climbing, mountain biking and trekking.
Currently committed to FOCUS Adventure and CAMP CHALLENGE, Sylvain’s facilitation style is strongly linked to his experiences and he brings multicultural and diversity into the programmes that he runs. Jan Vincent Galas was born and raised in the Philippines. He has always been passionate towards education and leadership. Prior to his position with FOCUS Adventure he was affiliated with Royal Thai Embassy-Manila and was a lecturer in De La Salle University-College of Saint Benilde handling college classes on World Politics and Governance.
As a youth ambassador, he was invited by the South Korean Government to join the cross-cultural immersion program in Seoul to Pusan in 2006. He also spent a year in Beijing in 2007 to gain knowledge of the Chinese culture and study Mandarin under a full-scholarship grant. He also trained college English debaters and adjudicated various national debate and public speaking competitions during his stay in China.
During his university years, he held several key positions as a debater, student leader, and community volunteer. He graduated with honors with a degree in Political Science from Far Eastern University and was named one of the Ten Outstanding Jose Rizal Model Students in the Philippines.
Jan's outdoor activities extend beyond wall climbing, riding jet skis and all-terrain vehicles. He partnered with the Philippine Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau in trekking the mountains of Mindoro to produce a documentary film in raising social awareness on the preservation of an endangered animal named "Tamaraw"—a dwarf Buffalo endemic to the Philippines. Consequently, the film received eco-diversity citations from Moonrise festival, an international award giving body which led to a financial support from World Bank for the said cause.
His zeal for traveling, outdoor activities, intra and interpersonal skills enhancement brought him to Singapore to venture greater heights, focusing on experiential learning.
In a nutshell, Jan considers himself a hope warrior. He is committed to continuously aspire for excellence and inspire others.

Donovan Huang is proud to have been born and raised in Singapore, where he now shares his passion for facilitation with FOCUS Adventure.
An advocate of self-learning and personal development, Donovan believes the best avenue for change and growth is through breaking new experiences. By artfully tailoring activites at FOCUS to meet client learning objectives, he is able to deliver value to his programmes in a refreshing and creative manner. Thinking out of the box has never been a problem, since for him, there was never a box to begin with. Donovan's genuine and candid style of facilitating programmes natually fosters a strong sense of fellowship and a kindred spirit amongst participants. With a keen ability to conceptualize abstract ideas and pragmatic approach to making learning fun, Donovan engages clients to derive strong learning experiences from the activities applicable to their daily lives.
Donovan has a strong love for adventure and the outdoors. His appetite for adventure has lured him to wake-boarding, mountain biking, trekking and fishing. A keen fan of motor sports, he is also an avid go-karter. Donovan draws much inspiration and enjoys the sense of liberation that comes from his outdoor ventures.
At home, Donovan relaxes with reading and the continued pursuit of music on his keyboard. An inate learner and inquisitive soul, he believes having a multitude of diverse knowledge can only aid in accelerating personal growth. He seeks to continuously invigorate others and himself to view life from fresh perspectives.
