FOCUS Adventuredventure Elements

Elements Description

The Multi-vine consists of a taut foot cable that stretches between two platforms and a series of vertically hung ropes suspended from another cable above the foot cable.

This activity gives participants the opportunity to overcome trepidation of perceived risks through re-examination of ones own assumptions about one’s own physical and emotional limitations.

Parallel Wire consists of two taut parallel foot cables that extend between two poles.

This activity allows participants to overcome a high degree of perceived risk and hence fortify mental strength and of course team work.

The Postman Walk consists for two parallel wires that extend between two poles. The objective is to get from one end to the other end.

Most people are able to move across with relative ease as they overcome their initial fears and learn to trust, cooperate and communicate. It enhances group dynamics as individuals learn to work collectively together.

The Swinging Tires consists of a series of tires that are hung from a cable wire above. The objective is to traverse the swinging tires while trying to get to the other end.

This element provides a test of physical strength, stamina, agility, balance, and flexibility. Through this station, participants experience first-hand, the importance of adapting to the environment and situation presented, and having the determination and resilience to conquer the obstacles they face.

The Tarzan Swing trained participants to focus on the end goal and not the challenges between. To look past and beyond the immediate obstacle and take a further long-term view to the end objective.

They will also learn how to give and receive support from others and develop a positive attitude towards the new and unknown.

After completing each level of elements around the TCH, participants will get to rest and have a sip of water in the Rest Cages.

It also allows participants to take some time to reflect on the previous tasks and also to strategize for the coming challenges.
